Azmi & Associates is pleased to have advised Alliance Islamic Bank Berhad on the issuance of a Commodity Murabahah Term Financing-i (“Facility”) to Arena Irama Sdn. Bhd. The Facility was provided to acquire 50% equity interest in KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway Berhad, the concessionaire company which owns LATAR Highway, from Bina Puri Holdings Berhad for a total purchase consideration of RM77,000,000.00.

The transaction was led by Partner Ahmad Syahir Yahya, supported by Managing Associates, Luqman Hakim Jam Sari Muhamad and Yasmin Taib. The team has assisted in obtaining relevant approvals, including from the authorities and the shareholders’ approval of the Vendor for the transfer of shares.
