Nuralieya graduated with an LL.B. (Hons.) (Second Class Upper) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2025.
Prior to commencing pupillage, she completed a one-month internship at this firm in August 2025 which served as preparation for her pupillage. In addition, she also undertook a three-months internship at Messrs Natasha & Co., under the guidance of a Senior Associate Mr. Zulhilmi with prior experience working under Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamed Shafee bin Mohamed Abdullah. During this tenure, she was placed in the civil litigation department and was actively involved in medical negligence claims, insolvency matters, and construction disputes. She gained substantial hands-on experience in drafting cause papers, written submissions, third-party notices, committal proceedings, as well as conducting legal research and handling discovery proceedings.
Throughout her years in IIUM, Nuralieya was an active participant in mooting and academic writing. She was the 1st Runner-Up of the AIKOL Advocacy Competition (2023), where she also won awards for Best Written Submission and Best Oralist in multiple rounds. She served as a Moot Problem Drafter for the AIKOL Advocacy Competition (2024), and an Associate Editor for Law Majalla IIUM. She is also a published co-author of the article “The Legality of Cryptocurrency from an Islamic Perspective” in Law Majalla (2022, Vol. 9, ISSN: 0128-5491).
Her leadership and community spirit are reflected in her role as Head of Committee for the Upcycling Project (2022–2023), which earned the Gold Award and sponsorship from SIME DARBY. She has also participated in various workshops, industrial visits, and public discourse events related to law, integrity, and anti-corruption.
She has a strong passion for corporate law and competition law, which she aspires to pursue in her legal career. Her Master is our Partner, Suhara Mohamad Sidik.
