Following Azmi & Associates’ visit to Myanmar in early September 2019, the Firm was privileged to have hosted a dinner for the Council of the Myanmar Oil and Gas Services Society in late September 2019. The dinner was held at the Royal Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

The delegates from MOGSS who visited Kuala Lumpur were:

1. Mr. Ken Tun, Chairman of MOGSS. Mr. Ken Tun is also the CEO of Parami Energy, Myanmar;
2. Dr. Aung Kyaw Htoo, Vice Chairman of MOGSS and Managing Director of DARE Company;
3. Mr. Aung Ye Soe, Secretary General of MOGSS and Managing Director of Machinery and Solutions Co. Ltd.;
4. Dr. Zaw Naing, Joint Auditor of MOGSS and Managing Director of Mandalay Technology Co. Ltd.;
5. Mr. Zar Ni Swe, CEC Member of MOGSS and a Business Development Director at SMART Group Myanmar;
6. Ms. Khine Zar Moe, Country Business Manager of Java Offshore.

The Firm’s Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali led the Firm’s team of lawyers comprising of our Managing Partner, Ahmad Lutfi Abdul Mutalip, Partner, Shameer Othman, Senior Associate, Hassan Shah, Associate, Ella Mohd Ali and Legal Executive, Loni Lee. As part of the Firm’s value-added service which includes business “match-making”, the Firm introduced MOGSS to some of the Firm’s clients in the Oil & Gas and Power sectors. Over dinner, we had the opportunity to exchange views, experiences and knowledge. A meaningful discussion was also held on the possibility of future collabo-rations and cross-border investments involving Myanmar and Malaysia.
